PRIVACY POLICY 📝

This might not be the most exciting read, but it's obviously necessary. It explains how we handle the information you provide us – including data you might not realize you're sharing – when you use our website. If you have any questions about this policy, please feel free to email us at hello@actorinside.com.

WHO WE ARE

At Actor Inside, we're on a mission to help people communicate with confidence and skill, whether they're at work or in their personal lives. We do this by offering courses that draw on our acting background, providing fun and supportive training sessions for our clients.

This policy applies to our website: actorinside.com. If you click on a link that takes you to another website, this policy no longer applies.

SOME KEY TERMS

When we say 'personal data', we mean any information that can identify you, like your name, phone number, or email address. If you can be identified from this information, you're what's called a 'data subject' in legal terms.

We collect personal data from everyone who uses our website. Here's what we collect and why…

WHAT WE COLLECT

Information You Give Us: The most important data we collect is what you choose to share with us. For example, when you book a discovery call or fill out a contact form, you provide us with information like your email (so we can get back to you) and your name (so we know who we're talking to).

Information We Automatically Collect: Our website also gathers some technical information to help improve how it works and give you a better experience with us. This might include which pages you visit and how long you stay on each page, as well as information that helps prevent spam.

We may store personal data in our systems, but we only collect what's necessary to provide our services and improve the website for users like you.

WHEN WE MIGHT GET IN TOUCH

We may contact you about updates, offers, or to send you a blog post or newsletter.

These emails might contain small tracking tools that let us know if you've opened the email or clicked on any links. This helps us make the emails we send you as useful and relevant as possible – we don't want to clutter up your inbox!

Our email marketing follows GDPR rules, and you can unsubscribe at any time. You'll find instructions on how to do this at the bottom of our emails.

If you become a client, we'll naturally be in touch by email or phone to arrange appointments and help you manage your bookings and payments. We need to do this to deliver the service you've paid for. As part of this, you'll receive helpful notifications like session reminders, scheduling updates, and invoices.

COOKIES

Like most websites, we use cookies to improve your experience. These are small files placed on your device that help us understand how you use the website, whether you've filled out any forms, and to keep you logged in if needed.

Some cookies last for a set time, while others might stick around indefinitely. They come in two types: performance cookies, which collect information about how you use the site, and functionality cookies, which remember things like your login details or display preferences. Your web browser should give you options to manage and delete cookies from your device.

CONTENT FROM OTHER WEBSITES

We might include things like YouTube or Vimeo videos on our site. This embedded content acts as if you've visited the original website, so it might collect data, use cookies, or track how you interact with it. We don't control this – that's up to the service provider. If you're concerned, it's best to check their privacy policies.

WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH

We work with carefully chosen partners and service providers who might process your personal information on our behalf. We will always take reasonable steps to make sure such parties will keep your personal data secure at all times, and we only work with providers we judge to be reputable, like Hubspot (for managing our client lists) and Stripe (for payments).

Digital Marketing Services: sometimes we hire digital marketing experts to help promote our services, which might involve processing personal information in line with regulations. One of these is:

Prospect Global Ltd (trading as Sopro) Reg. UK Co. 09648733. You can contact Sopro and see their privacy policy at http://sopro.io. They're registered with the ICO (Reg: ZA346877) and you can email their Data Protection Officer at dpo@sopro.io.

We are also supported in our IT and administrative services by Melu, who provide assistance by way of a managed live chat service for enquiries on our website. A copy of Melu’s own privacy policy can be accessed here..

HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA

We only keep your personal data for as long as we need to, which can vary depending on what it is. For instance, if you've done a course with us, we'll keep your information on file so we can easily refer to it if you decide to do more training in the future. This helps us provide a better service to you. Of course, we're happy to delete this data if you ask us to, in line with your rights (see below).

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we have about you

  • Update or correct any information about you that isn't accurate

  • Ask us to stop using your personal data

  • Request that we permanently remove your personal data from our records (except for data we need to keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons)

That's it! We hope this information has been helpful. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch at hello@actorinside.com or through our contact form.
